mate you need to pull the flywhell of to get it machined anyway,so doing the rear main while the flywheel is off is a no-brainer,for the cost of the seal ,it is cheap insurance!

the plate in question was a factory fix ,as the pump wont allow the engine to fire as it has to move a plunger into the ready position!
basicly the pump timming is retarded!!

just to make it more frustrating for you , a faulty airflow sensor can and will give of o2 sensor faults

just remember mate dont tighten the bolts with the arms suspended make sure it has all its weight and is sitting at ride height before you do them up !!otherwise youll tear em up

you only have to replace the head bolts if they are a torq to yeild " ie a stretch bolt" or in other words if the tension is ,say 1st step 40nm ...
