Mostly as a daily, with the odd adventure; doesn't see much hwy k's.
My manual ve ss averages about 17. Problem with the GU, it's only a 4 speed, pulls 2400 revs at 110, ve ss about 1800. I need to drop the revs, so I'm thinking :
Change diff gears from 4.3 to 4.1...
Digging up an old post. I'm averaging about 21 litres per 100km which seems a bit high.
Pm sent mate.
Cheers for the reply, definitely interested. Let me know when you get them, and put me down for a set.
I've tried the search function with no success; wanting to replace my amber side indicators to clear ones on my 2000 model GU. Anyone know where to get them (maybe from a different model) and also...
You are correct about that, mate of mine got done just for not having flares. Goes pretty good, sounds awesome; engine note certainly turns heads. I suprise a lot of other drivers at the lights, and...
Previous patrol was a GQ td 42 which I installed a turbo to. Sold that last week and purchased a 2000 GU with a vy r8 clubbie motor and 4 speed auto. Engineered, 2" inch lift, 33" muddies, tjm front...
Slowly getting there
Turbo build starts :
Added some lights, winch and DVD player; turbo kit arrived and hopefully will be installed in the next week or so.
I've seen the auto meter ones on eBay, but for $$$ I can't just justify them. I have twin aeroforce ones from the states in my VE and they are brilliant. My thinking was that for under $200 you could...
I understand about being a "newbie" and so forth. I was on another forum where I organised group buys (I did pm mudrunnertd the links). Reason I don't have many posts, from experience on other...
Mudrunner, I did pm a moderator before I posted this thread up, and this is the only forumn I have posted on. Regarding payments, I don't handle money at all, eBay is used to purchase this item. I...
I recently purchased a turbo kit for my GQ TD42; so I started looking for a pyro and boost gauge. Found the following :
...
Finally got the GQ registered, changed the bullbar and purchased some bigger rims and tidied her up a bit. Took it out to Yacandanda today :
Cheers, prefect for what I need.
Yep the fronts, missing a wheel stud. Thanks for the reply, I will try it tomorrow.
Do you know how they removed the hub of the disk; I'm having the exact same problem.
Cheers
John
Old thread dig. Anyone here know how to remove the front assembly hub of the disc on a gq?
Cheers
John
Thanks. Already looked up some threads which is making my life a bit easier to fix things.
After work last night, we stripped the interior and high pressure hosed the inside. Re-wired the Central locking / cb and radio, bolted on the bull bar, installed the driving lights, removed the old...
Cheers guys. BIllsGu, I was on the website last week having a look to join; following day by chance I meet the treasurer and secretary (one of them was wearing a top with their logo) getting pizza. ...
Cheers, it's a bit rough on the edges; but it's perfect for what we need. Hopefully next week we will have it registered, and take it for a spin and start learning the fine art of 4wding.
