Good news, just got off phone to mechanic. It seems that the engine has sucked in air somewhere, so is a fuel issue. Also the sub tank light is staying on??? This is weird. But no need for new engine...

Dodgy brothers at their best!!!

Took mine in this afternoon and is now fixed, they pressed a few minor kinks in and out of it and now it fits perfectly in between the fuel tank and brake proportioning bracket.
