I made some brackets that go inbetween the rails and the seats and moved them over about 40 mm so much better. I.ll try and get a pic tomorrow and post up.

i dont really want to cut it off. but its looking like im going to have to. i never heard of heli coiling a shaft either but it was just a thought. oh well the joys of cars.

first thought was to re-tap it. though not enough room to do it. thinking i might have to cut it off. OR im not sure on this but can I heli coil the shaft and use bigger nut or does that only work...

My bad. Sorry didn't see that I spelt it wrong.

The top shock mount that goes through the eye of the shock has a thread that a nut goes on to hold shock in place. The thread has stripped off so nut will not do up.
