Is this what your referring to? I dont have an intercooler and its on my td42t. Looks like its polution gear related. Hose runs from back of pump to canister on left guard.

That looks like vacuum solenoid for factory rear locker of TI model. The 4.2 turbo diesel assuming would be ST which has lsd instead of locker. The ST have a similar vacuum solenoid on the other side...

Maybee late models have them Im not too sure but Im on my 4th GU and neither had the buzzer.

Sorry just re read your post. If i read correctly you replaced one of the solenoids. If you havent already done try swap over the hoses incase the other solenoid faulty.

Maybe the solenoids on passengers firewall isnt working correctly. There should be two one to activate and one to deactivate. Try swapping the hoses over and if it turns off then you have a faulty...
