aha!! the mighty white whales!!
any idea on what they are worth??
I had to replace the side mounts on a Premiere , pretty sure they're magnesium - you'd think that they would all be using similar materials.
BANDAID sollution only. Been there done it. Growlers is right, the amount of effort to put em in, you may as well bite the bullet and replace springs.
tried rebuild - very easy??
copper all the way, plastic or alloy you can't fix em
Geez my spellings terrible! Damn fat fingers
It's pretty easy, I did mine a couple of months ago - didn't take any oics though.
You just take the fan off the engine - 4 bolts.
Take the 4 bolts out of the fam assemblt itself and it splits...
been lifted? If so could be castor issue as well. May even be as simple as a worn out steering damper
cheers guys.
Feeling better about it all now. Talked to a couple of people last night and they have confirmed what most of you have said - 85kw at the flywheel does not mean real world reading....
Hi guys/girls,
forgive me if this has been asked/discussed before - I have tried searching through threads and had no luck finding the info I was after.
I have just had my injector pump replaced...
cool guys, thanks. I'll give it a go over the weekend. I'm more concerned with the actual snorkel itself - it's an AIrflow Snorkle and appears to have pin holes in the casting. I'll also pull the...
had same problem, tried everything you have already done, pulled motors apart coz I'm a tight a$# and resealed. Still leaked. Bought two new motors - job done
ok guys,
as the title says, how do you test your snorkel for water tightness?? I'm assuming that if I block the intake end I should be able to hear/detect any leaks??
hmm interseting stuff...I was on the verge of forking out for the foxwing they have, might rethink on that by the looks of all this. Hard call as everybody says 'you get what you pay for' half price...
have you had a good look at them?? The patrol chassis wheel base and track etc is a lot smaller in dimension than the H1, the ones I have seen look weird - a bit like the mahindra that kind of looks...
Hey Malcolm, mate I have a set of headers on my td42, along with a 2.5 mandrel exhaust. It has made a slight differance in power, more noticebly in fuel economy. the best thing about it is the sound...
all depends on how much you want to muck around with bracketry etc. I had a genuine GU steel bull bar that I modified to suit my old MK Triton, when I sold the Triton I modified it again to suit my...
hey voodoorick, I ended up replacing my temp gauge with aftermarket one for same reason - wasn't sure whether I could rely on it or not.
Apparently the temp on the old GQ's is a bit of a pain the...
so... Finally decided to do something about my intermittent issue with my park lights. Problem was that the parklights/tail lights/dash lights (all on same switch circuit i believe) were failing...
hmmm, mine has an issue as well... front lights all work however t/lights and dash lights work intermittantly??? I haven't really had a good look yet, but am assuming it is an earth problem...
mate, I use a finer filter in my td42. I also use a snorkel sock whenever in the dust
my back yard....Excellent park/facilities, dog friendly, great owners too. Nothing bad to say about this place
beautiful spot, dog friendly... pity they have introduced a fee per vehicle though, whether 4wd or not. 4wd tracks are vefy few and far between and mostly able to be done in 2wd only. Awsome creek...
hey guys, not sure about the park. However, the tracks through that area are really good, moderate to extreme and everything in between. Murphys creek is not a big creek system and really only has a...
