I know this chip comes with all sorts of instructions from the manufacturer in WA.
But if you're not game to have a crack at that, anybody know where to take it for fitting?
Anybody got one with...
I had same problem middle of last year.
My auto hubs kept clicking and then the thud.
Got fed up with it and put AVM manual hubs on and haven't had a problem since.
Seems to be quite a few...
Yep that's it.
Click click and the odd clunk when cold.
Has been done on a number of forums.
But seems to be more about the hubs than the locker.
My issues started about June (after having the...
I was having clicking and clunking issues with the Auto hubs.
Changed to a set of Manual AVM hubs and no more clicking and clunking......so far!
With the Auto lokka in the front, also gives a bit...
What are people's thoughts on the Lokka, if you've installed one?
Had mine for 4 months and happy with it so far.
Certainly a lot less bash and crash.
Steering on harder surfaces is a bit...
Just ordered one from 4wd Systems. $1358 + install.
Gets done next Friday.
PS: Not always a bad thing that the missus can't see into the fridge. THey have a habit of thinking it runs better with...
The STs went fine at the playpark. Although probably not a hell of a lot different to the stock Bridgestones.
I guess we'll see how they go over the journey.
Not an overly cheap tyre, but it...
I've had a couple of diesels and they both sounded the same.
One was a 60 series cruiser, current one is a 08 GU6 patrol.
I am told they get growlier (very techincal term that!) as they get...
Must be going senile.
Have responded twice to the same thing.
More beer, more beer, more beer!
OK will do .
Going to the Loveday 4x4 playpark in SA on Oct long weekend.
Probably get to see how they go pretty well.
Have noticed a slight drop in fuel economy in the last 3 weeks since I had...
Will do.
Heading to the Loveday 4x4 park on October long weekend.
So I expect they will get a good testing.
Mostly sand and mud there, not so much rock stuff.
Challenging enough to render a...
Just thought I would let you know I went for the Cooper STs in the end.
Haven't tested them out much yet.
Not overly noisier on the road.
Going from 275/65/17 (790mm circumference) to say 285/70/17 (831mm) is there a risk with brake failure?
The web site (1010tires.com) that gives you the comparisions seems to indicate that going more...
Same colour as mine.
And agree they get dirty mighty quick.
Know how you feel re the mud underneath.
You can spend an hour under there with a pressure hose and still not get it all out.
In summer every weekend on the beach - at the Surf Lifesaving Club
Usually every Saturday and about 6 Sundays.
In winter maybe 4 or 5 times.
Do the dealers and workshops around do this modification?
And is it something that is commonly done?
Yes not so worried about the tyre for sand work.
But probably on the touring and other off road stuff.
Don't do enough mud stuff to justify going to muddies.
So I have decided to stay with All...
I am due to get new tyres in the next 10,000 km and was wondering what people rate as the best All Terrain tyre for sand, touring and bush track work.
I have the stock Bridgestone D693s at the...
Thanks.
Looking through your rig specs, you do have everything there including the kitchen sink!
We go over there every Anzac weekend for a surf club Dads n Lads trip.
Great spot with some of the best unspoilt beaches in the state.
Managed to stay dry this year for a change!
Went there on the Queens Bday long weekend for the first time.
Many people (bikes mainly) buzzing around and you needed to keep you eyes peeled for them coming out of nowhere.
Has just about...
So far so good.
A bit louder (in a good sort of way) and you can smell the diesel exhaust more.
Done a quick calc on the fuel economy and it is slightly better.
Was getting 14.5 L/100 and now...
Yes an auto locker (Lokka brand).
But when I had a play with that about 3 weeks ago I heard the clicking noise it makes - very faint.
I knew about that from reading about them in 4WD action Mag and...
Gidday all.
Can't remember how I found you. Just googling patrol stuff I reckon.
Joined this site today.
I have a 2008 CRD 3L Auto Wagon that I am slowly bringing up to speed.
The doings so...
Just put a Lokka in the front of the Patrol + 3" exhaust and 2" suspension.
However I have an intermittent dull knocking from the front when turning.
Happens about once a week or so. Very...
