I used a heat gun to warm the paint up but it still cracked a little. I masked it up and put some Killrust paint on it before fitting the flares.

Does anybody have any experience with external oil coolers on their TD42? It's been on my mind a bit lately and I've been thinking about how PeeBee and MB have had great success on their Chevy 6.5...
Quote snipped from Cape Jaffa trip thread...
Been thinking about this and previously I would have thought that this oil leak would have shown on the pressure gauge.
MB commented that due to...

Another quality write up by Darren!
To be honest I was too depressed to comment last night, we took it for a drive and the brand new clutch slipped. We disconnected the slave cylinder and drove with...

I just bolted the tacho sensor in with the 5mm spacer, seems like 95% of people who do that get a working tacho above 1000rpm, anything below that is very erratic.
I knew I had to get lucky...

Thanks mate, yeah it was a huge downer for sure. On the bright side the engine runs smooth as silk, it's bloody awesome and we must have got the pump timing spot on because it is hard to tell the...
Think I am broken, clutch was slipping on our first test drive and found the rear main leaking really badly. Looks like the box is coming out next week...

I got my $35 adaptor today... Can't complain though, ordered Monday and arrived today with a public holiday in between from Sydney. ...
Getting there, just need the oil line for vac pump, finish plumbing the turbo, time the pump, grind out sandwich plate and make spacer for tacho sender....
The only local place that could do it wanted $1200 to get it balanced and lightened.
I ended up getting it machined at another place.

No I haven't tried them. I ordered from a company in Sydney called Earl's speed parts. He express posted it yesterday, and other than that the bloke at Enzed reckons he will have the parts to make my...
Yep, could not buy an m10x1.5 to -4an adaptor from Enzed. He did help me with where to find one (the internet) but I bloody hope it arrives before the weekend.
