If you have an intercooler, i'd flush that, or at least have a look at th einternals to see if there is any buildup.

These are the castings I was talking about. I reckon the lower casting could be drilled and tapped to suit, and be utilised for the turbo drain.

A multimeter is your best friend when chasing elec faults. Check your earth connections aswell.
