i think mine is little more then normal...maybe because of direct exhaust system (one resonator in the middle only). its TD42t. if i off and start again, wont happen.

My Patrol gives out a big Fat smoke (once only) whenever i start it up after leaving it off for few minutes... i dont think its normal. I sometimes feel embarrassed because of this....injectors n...

90-100deg is not bad. But i see many 4wds with those lightforce 240's not heating up or maybe there are.
110c with Aircon on on the hill in bit hot conditions can be expected i guess?? what does your factory gauge show??
at what temp does the factory gauge goes past Half?? when mine was over heating in only moved towards 3/4 and above when my aftermarket gauge showed 105-110degs.
thermostat is 76.2 something like that. Genuine Nissan unit
The issue was the Radiator. i changed it n doesn't over heat now....factory gauge stays less then half all day but aftermarket gauge (autogauge) goes 80-92degs at times. can the aftermarket be wrong...
oh is it there?? in issue 193?? Still dint get my copy yet! Finally i can enjoy viewing it since my heating issue looks like its over! hahaha......
Ok....new Radiator went in and the heating problem is solved!!!!!!!!! took it for some hard runs (without coolant, just water) and the factory gauge never went above half mark, the aftermarket gauge...
radiator was serviced but showed no improvement. The Radiator shop here have agreed to give the new radiator for testing, if it solves the problem i will have to buy it! if not then they will return...
Fitted Genuine head gasket.....tested head all ok. drove it....still heats goes past 100deg. fitted new thermostat as well. so tmrw will fit a brandnew radiator and see!
The head was opened and tested ok....relief Alhumdulillah!!!!
its got aftermarket turbo (T3/T4) on a safari kit..... new turbo fuel pump fitted. i have the EGT / Boost gauges. EGT stays ok....boost abt 8psi. goes to 90-100degs when running with A/C and driving...
ok thanks guys... i bought a Genuine H/Gasket today part no: 11044-06J00 and will give it a go and hopefully that will fix my problem of heating in long runs. just hope no issues with head.
I recently did a rebuilt on my motor and the its now heating up in long runs and not in short runs. There was no bubbles on radiator before but now when the radiator is topped up it starts throwing...
make sure you get you fuel and boost tuned well....otherwise you can fry something in your motor. i have already been a victim of this!
i have the same issue on my GU Patrol.....going to test everything step by step. i have already twice cleaned the radiator, changed new radiator cap from Nissan. still same issue....radiator level...
radiator was off another GU NA Patrol......
i have to measure that again as i think today i could see water still in radiator top after running for like 20mins around block. will change the radiator cap and see tmrw. its 0.9 cap i guess
yeah that was the only reason i thought it was heating now...so i twice gave it to the radiator shop and they removed the top tank and cleaned the cores and said the flow is ok! can it still be not...
Hopefully mine gets solved without replacing the head!..... Radiator is all good. will see how it goes.
