i just put the new one over the old but if you have a new pod you have to cut the pod base
i checked out both ways but over the old cover i think is a nicer fit

mate jus goin through his at the mo
from your pillar pod take the old pillar cover off & next to the dash there is a small gap between he dash & pillar, runs your wires & boost line...

stretched the dawes valve spring whoa what i difference
got a quick 18 psi settles to 16 quickly
the needle valve is doing something because the actuator did not drop back when i stopped...

had a slight leak at the t comming off the boost line all redone
checked the neddle valve all good
started the car with the lines off & great vacuum from outlet of valve
i got the gauge...

good idea buddy i will do tomorrow & let you know how i go

mate when i start the car & watch for the fall of the actuator arm on the turbo, the needle valve open or closed makes no diff the armjust goes up & thats it until i turn the car off...
