Helped a farmer mate today to clear a paddock of a giant tree. I wish I got a photo of it, it was a monster and my saw was not big enough. It required a 30 inch bar on a 660 attacked from both sides and an old fergy to shift the weight of the beast tree.

Nice mate. I rounded up some neighbours yesterday and split up about 30m of messmate from another neighbour. Measured by trailer loads, it was 12 fully overloaded 7x4 trailers. Everything was split with a hydraulic 3000psi splitter nothing stopped it. Massive day but everyone now has next winters timber sorted, or at least most of next winters

Must of been a day for it _ fire season prep work (too close house) and of course some for the fire box.

Yep was good when the last one hit the ground, she was leaning back towards house (8m away)_dead timber, took up cable slack and held pressure while did step cut, with Vicki on the winch remote, put saw down went and jumped in GU, gave it a good persuasive backup haul and all was good(Split down the vertical grain between top/bottom cut(my Dad taught me that one_the heel keeps the log from slipping back off).
Wind brought one down few nights back, clipped the hose spouting (so pushed it back in shape), smashed up fence so just had to do the others.
So much rain here last month, dam/creek has been running thru 3 weeks now and tree roots just let go.
Yeah I noticed that felling cut, haven't seen that one before.
