Hey All, I changed batteries on my Patrol and the stereo is asking for the security code.
I've checked everywhere on the car and manual but can't find any signs of a code to use.
How do you get the code, do you need to ring Nissan direct or???

I think you can call Nissan and quote the serial number on the actual unit and they cross reference that to the actual pin number.. I'm not 100% though.. I think i did something like this with a Holden Statesman I had once.
Just call Nissan and ask them anyway. Would be interesting to know.
Yes, you need to ring a Nissan Dealer. I did this a while ago and it worked.
I was very suprised by how easy they gave the code out too.
There's also a plate on the keyring but I'm sure you wouldv'e noticed that if you still had it.
Thanks for the replies.
GQ10 - yeah i have no idea where that key ring went. I don't think I even had it when i bought the car.
When i happend on my schools Cruzer i rang toyota and was the last four didgits of the VIN number. Might be the same on the Patrols.
Just ring or go to your local Nissan dealer with the VIN and they will look it up for you. It's the same deal with Toyota and Ford.
Have you sorted the code isue yet. My code is 6162.
