To be honest mate I was very surprised when I moved to Vic, I expected the uncovered loads to be a big deal but they are just not here. In NSW the police are right onto it, it's on a lot of the road signs too "cover your load, fines apply" etc and they aren't joking. Us Victorians have it far easier in some ways hey.

I agree Nic mate, nearly 30 years of scooting around with work utes in Vic have never been questioned once to date. The plumber here got done with an old style occy web version where the officer could reach his hand through the holes and wiggle out a pvc junction from its cardboard box.
Must say, this new to me cargo net is pretty easy though, like Winnie kindly mentioned with his Vic professional work, think I’ll just make it my new daily Nationwide now [emoji106][emoji106]

It all depends on what you are carrying - the net has to be fine enough to contain the smallest item and strong enough to contain the heaviest item it is covering. Always best to have a fine strong net which will suit everything. The net also has to be secured well and not just thrown over with occy straps like some tradies do. It is all about insecure loads (and nothing to do with revenue raising of course).
MB's new one is top shelf!
Seems like cargo net focus could well start becoming a PLOD focus, so following @MB lead, picked this one up today, not cheap but less than the $242 fine, plus 'whatever' they find as they comb over the vehicle.

Net arrived today, heavy construction, in its own bag, very happy.
Picked one of these up at a bargain price, have not been happy with the look or mount of my existing bullbar lightbar, even though it works great. Anyway, was impressed by the one on @MB barge, so deal done.
