Finally got to drive it today with the new turbo, it’s a completely different car now, making boost from 1100rpm now!!

Fixed the dry solder joints on the clock today, mounted my UHF under the radio in the DIN slot, wired up my front speakers.
I have to make new door trims tomorrow as even with spacers I can’t use the window winders :furious:

Went away on a shakedown solo run last weekend, started at Kendal’s campground at Rubicon, cut through to Big River, cooked some burgers and went to bed then headed home Sunday.
Had an annoying rattle start around 150km in :(
Found the exhaust had rattled loose where the front engine pipe bolts on under the gearbox, I’m hoping that it was left loose when my Exhaust guy connected my dump pipe
But apart from that the car was faultless!!
Fitted up some radius spacers, new radius bushes, adjustable front and rear panhard and some longer trailing arms
I’m taking my kids away this weekend trying to fine tune the camping setup and get some reliability sorted before Labour day weekend
Took my boys away over the Australia Day weekend, it was one of my good mates boys first camping trip so just an overnight stay at Big River.

Then pulled my bonnet off to Dynamat the inside after cutting all the reinforcing to fit the scoop, closes with a thud now

Redid all my rear electrical, moved my Engel plug onto the cargo barrier, tidied up the lead so it doesn’t get caught in the drawer, then my wife got happy with the label maker!
All in preparation for: Gullwings!!

Would love a set of gullwings!!

I don’t think they’re that expensive, I started working out what it would cost me to make something that resembled a finished product and decided my time is worth too much to spend at least a weekend trying to make them!!
I also worked out that I might work too much :)
Good build! I like the idea of these gullwings. Has anyone had them for any extended period? Do they weather well and handle a good rain?
