Good article, first time I have so many comparison to rigging loads for cranes ( being a crane operator and rigger,this is what I do all day everyday) and it is great to see a mention of angle factors and reeving in relation to recovery, it is so so so important and the difference between gear failing and not failing.

A good resource with lots of great reminders to keep in mind. Too many recovery operations that people rush into without thinking.

Think about what you are doing. Always consider the worst case scenario and clear the safety zone.
