if anyone is serious about getting one,join a RC Heli club,heaps of people with knowledge and made all the mistakes already..also look for one with a rth function...rth = return to home...that way if you lose cordination you can flick the switch and ity will return to a point already asigned...

Used the drone for some action up in Fraser Island 8 weeks ago. This was the last trip in my Hilux before selling it to make way for the Patrol.

they have a greater range and height than I would imagine
It is quite frightening how high they can climb. The one I used for the Fraser Island footage was capable of 2 km up in the air (or to the sides) Problem was that after 500m verticle, I would loose sight of it, and as such, was too scared to climb in further. 500m was plenty high enough and still provided excellent footage.
