TB42 Dual fuel surging and faltering above 3k

Hi Guys,

Just bought a 93 GQ/Maverick, was running god awful when i got it, so i took it to an lpg/mechanic today and now its fantastic down low where it was crap before but falters and surges above 3000RPM. Before it was fine above 3k but had no power, and i mean no power, below 2k.

All he did was put in new points and tune the gas a little.

Worth pointing out that this happens at the same RPM and in the same way on both gas and petrol, so i can only assume its as a result of the timing change? any suggestions on what could be wrong? going to give him another call tomorrow to see what he thinks.
