Makes my salami stash look like a waste of time. Next year I will be doing much more.

Finally dug the trench to lay the last section of RG11 cable that the stupid excavator operator ripped out even though I told him and marked the ground exactly where it is. First job to do when we were starting our house Reno’s and they fuck up on the first day, within the hour of starting. Anyhow finally dug the trench. On took five hours and a god full off pain killers for the rooted back.

Then I started not one but two fires and enjoyed the evening with some whiskey.

So on Friday night our wood fire heater had its own fire in the flue. Today’s job to clean it out. A simple job never is. After cleaning the fire box out I decided to replace all the fire bricks as the base was stuffed and half the side bricks were broken.
All good now.

Well done mate! Super productive weekend for you!

Thanks Nic. Yeah unfortunately not as productive as usual anymore, due to me taking twice as long to do anything because of hindering back issues. But I’d go stir crazy if I just sit a veg out in front of the idiot box all weekend.

Nice work @jay see , Nic & Mudski 👍🏻 Long story short apon replacing the poly water pipe to my shed I discovered water coming out from under the house slab - a concrete saw into the slab , 3 days of digging & replacing firstly the 90mm storm water pipes that were pushed together - NO GLUE !!!! & re doing all the mess of spaghetti plumbing out from under the bathroom that was an absolute shit fight & we’re done . I can’t post pics on here so you’ll have to take my word for it . What a saga . Glad we were rained / snowed off from work anyway so I was home to do the labouring , now I’m rooted & sore & keen to go back to work .
