Centre top is where I always put mine (work or play) and the spring base with the nitto blank is the go.

Im a big fan of the flag on the bull bar. in the steep dunes the bull bar will be over the crest before the roof. Much better visibility through the dunes which is the point.
The Dunes in SA dont have the same discipline at say the Simpson where at least most are trying to do radio comms. on the beaches its a little less regulated and the flag poking its head over a dune can make a big difference.
Pressing the go go button on their site direct now after hours, fingers crossed or it’s a Red Pair O Jocks on a stick again like PA used to do :-)

Ok, I’m lost again gents, trying some geometry maths here to no avail.
Do like the idea of a shorter roof top mounted one for being able to snot along a beach fast in between too.
Autoelec seems to jump from a 1.2m version straight to 2.5/3.0m bullbar mount ones I’m assuming.
Would it be worth me searching for a say 1.5/1.8 or just go bullbar tall and be done with it?

I assume mine is a 2.5m bullbar mounted one. My old one would handle 120kmh down the beach no problem mate. Might have been faster..... shhhhhhh
Hi mate go to Kmart and buy there 12mm tent pole kit, then all you need to do is but the flag
If you have a roof rack I have a simple bracket that will hold your flag in place safely.
I was the first person to make 3 piece flag poles way back when times were simpler and the dollar was strong
All you need is a piece od 20 x20x 2 rhs about 200 mil long put it in a vice and using a 3/4 flaring tool flare the end
its onle to make it easier for the flag to go in
Use contact glue to glue one of the steel pipes to go over one end
