Anyone got any views on these tyres
KO2 is a 70/30 use?
STMAX & ATZP3 are 50/50 use
Sizes 285x70x17
Looking to use them at Flinders rangers and the Simpson and want to pick an all rounder.
Micky Thompson are the cheapest to date.

I run MT ATZs, have taken me lots of places including the Simpson, Flinders Ranges, and most of the NT rough tracks. They work well, don't chip or cut much and looked after wear well. Only flats I have had have been caused by nails, wire and staking a tree root, any brand would have punctured from those.
I'm happy with them, will buy the same when next needed.
Haven't used the other brands so can't compare with them.
On my second set of P3's. Love them. Low noise, and they're aggressive enough to get me through the rough stuff.
Thanks guys, think these are the go and price is good over the others.
I haven't tried the STMAX, but the old ST's chipped like no other tyre I have tried, so i wont go back there on principle. Marketed as offroad tyres, but not really for offroad.
My last three sets have all been MT's of different types, but I ran Desert Duellers and BFG All Terrains ( old style ) for years, and went lots of places.
You could use any of those tyres you mentioned for the Simpson and Flinders, and probably the less aggressive the better, as they wont dig into and disturb the sand as much - and will float over the top better.
I had to buy new tyres and decided it was prudent to get them before my Simpson trip, and my KM2's were brand new in the Simpson, and I noticed they tended to dig into the sand more than the AT's I used before, but worked well nonetheless.
I just got fitted Micky ATZ P3's today. Substantially quieter than the General Grabbers... stay tuned will give some feedback in a few weeks when we hit the dirt for a quick 4 day trip.
Cheers

I haven't tried the Mickey T's or Coopers, but I do have approx 15000 k's on my 32x11.5x15 BFG KO2's and I love them.
My experience has been - No punctures / staking (touch wood)!! and excellent traction in sand, mud, loose rock, pea gravel and dry and wet roads. They still look pretty good after 15000, no torn lugs or anything, and I have used them on some unforgiving surfaces. Slightly more noise than my previous Bridgestone Duellers, but not bad, (a little more noisy in the wet, don't know why).
A few of my friends also run them in 32 and 33 inch sizes, on Cruisers and a Triton and all have told me that they love them too. (Including one who went across Oz, up to the cape, Oodnadatta, Birdsville, Big Red etc.
I would buy them again for sure.
Just my experience.
I have got Coopers AT3s on my 95 GQ at the moment, down to about 5mm tread, so need to replace before winter, thinking seriously of going MT ATZ P3s, even though not much serious offroading, but having said that, do take people around the farm for tours occasionally and our driveway would be classed as offroading lol. Had 3 years out of the coopers and loved them, superb in town, pretty impressive when new on Lions 4wd trek. I have been warned about increased road noise in ATZ P3s but a bit of a sing on the road isnt going to worry me. After reading reviews on here of the MTs feel its a good way to go, and yes have noticed the Coopers pull left on our shite quality roads, so what do I do, go MTs or stick with Coopers? I wish these people would go metric to make it easier to compare tread depth and suchlike!
