Greetings to all from the NSW northern rivers.
Have just acquired an old well equipped '96 GQ 4.2 Safari Turbo ute (266,000 on clock) with an integrated slide on/off single bed camper. Ute has rear air-bag auto levelling system that also enables suspension lowering and drive-out from under camper. Camper is well designed with folding solar panels and dual spares are mounted on a really well made hinged rear rack complete with gas struts. It also has a mass of switches for air compressor, auto-levelling etc. The rig was once owned/used by a radio buff. Dead give-away is the camper has multiple aerial mounts all over and vks-737 HF Radio club stickers in the camper. Gearbox needs some work and some rodents have severely chewed exposed electrics behind the battery but overall most seems to be in fairly good order except for the hydraulic winch and spot lights.. thanks to the rats. My challenge is to fix all these issues so for a start I'm on the lookout for GQ Cab chassis electrical wiring diagrams plus a copy of an operators manual. If anyone can help with these it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
