Bought a 2011 3ltr auto common rail don't know when it was last serviced [ex NSW police] heard two ways to change the oil cheap brand [Gulf ] do every 5000k
or top brand and do every 10000k costs around the same what's better for removing any sludge?
Good oil is always better. its not just the sludge removal but the lubricating quality. I personally use Penrite but other brand name oils are equal.
I use Penrite as well, mine is under warranty and I supply it to nissan when servicing as they were using magnatec which isnt even diesel specific but meets the spec
