Charters Towers has a good deal of historical buildings similar to that style. Unfortunately I don't have any good photos of any...
Magpie and Stump Hotel was built in 1850 / 1851 at Mintaro SA. The former Bakers shop is incorporated as part of the dining room of the hotel. It still has the original wood-fired oven apparently.
Post and Telegragh Office, Fowlers Bay. The post office was erected in 1875 and the extensions were made to the building for the telegraph facility when the completion of the east to west line in 1877. Postal records go back to May of 1865 when the unofficial post office was opened.
Entry 1 Not that old but now part of our history
Entry no 2. The old Bank of New South Wales now Westpac in Normanton where I worked in 1974-1975. Had to visit again on Cape trip in 2014 as it was in Normanton I bought my 1st 4X4 off a cattle property just out of town.
Entry no 3. Old Laura farm house.
This is one of many spectacular buildings in Sydney University, I believe it houses the Great Hall, the Nicholson Museum and the University Art Gallery.
I think it was built in the 1800's.
I have been walking past it every day to visit my son in the RPA which is in the University boundary.
