Hi all , wondering how many 4.8s are out there and if so how does this engine like gas as a conversion , i can imagine it would be pretty thirsty on petrol , any stats as to how much mileage etc on petrol and on gas .... i wouldn't mind the extra horses as i have a 3lt td 03 model and i may be looking to offload it for a bigger engine .
The 4.2 td is great but just not many around and also they want $$$$$$$$$$ for them ...
Just went up to central NSW from Melb with a mate in his 04 landcruiser 4.2 td towing a twin axle trailer ,overtaking trucks easily...10 hour trip , bloody good engine in them cruisers as my mate kept reminding me ....my 3lt just doesn't cut it .............look forward to the feedback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
