G`Day Tony, hows it going.
As you know I don`t know sxxt about scotch but, while at a certain distillery I was told to try their single malt at room temp ( very nice) and then warm it as with Brandy , just in the hand, boy what a difference.

Haha, knew I would get a bite. I know you have lots of good stuff, you show us to make us jealous all the time. I have never had the opportunity to try a good Jack, guess I should try ordering one next time I am in a decent whiskey bar.
I have had lots of really good single malts but have lacked the restraint to keep them for long.
Gday Pearcey, going well thanks.
Several years ago I was in a good restaurant and after the meal we decided to try a very good cognac, when the waiter took my order he asked me if I wanted it heated and I said no, when the cognac came out it was the restaurant owner bringing it and he said he would not serve it without warming it and waited while I tasted it and see that I liked it and he was definitely right, it was brilliant.
With whiskeys it is amazing how much of the flavour is lost when it is cooled but if mixing with coke it doesn't matter as you could probably substitute the whiskey with rubbing alcohol and not notice much difference when it is with coke.
Dunno! Maybe I'm drunk but youse guys are ramblin'.
