Thanks mate. Yeah it's going to cost us $20 per week more than what we are paying in rent at the moment.
It's all good timing though, we will be moving in 3 weeks before our wedding and will have a screaming 2 month old to help as well
Take care of yourself mate!
Nice way to see the year out @Winnie
A wedding, a new house and a newborn.
Can't wait to see what next year brings for ya..
Congrats on all.
Yep, wise thinking. We bought our first place in Australia not that long before interest rates shot up to 18%. We really struggled with that, both working full time & with a toddler, but we scraped by. When interest rates fell it would've been so easy to reduce our payments & spend the difference on 'toys' but we didn't, we carried on paying the higher amount, which was the best thing we ever did. In a nutshell it set us up to be able to live debt free for the past 20 odd years.
Congrats Winnie & Amy.
Roofy - take it easy & get back to doing what you love.
Back in the happy thread from the angry thread.
Sister pulled through, out of ICU and into Neuro ward, and has now been moved into a rehab facility. Long road ahead for her, but she been amazing and such a trooper. Less than 30% survival for this, and she's been unlucky enough to have it twice in her life. Still unsure of permanent damage, won't know for a few more weeks, but she's still with us and doing her best to kick ass at rehab and see how much function we can get back!
I'm still angry about this day to day, just at how unfair it seems to all be. But she's with us and that's all that matters.
Bit of an update maybe a bit of muscle worn or tied
the good news is I still have my license and can exercise
and feel good today
On the AAA op that I had before the Madigan line
the Vascular Surgeon is happy now it's just to
monitor it every 6 months
So now i can relax and get on with what we enjoy most
Well after the longest winter on record since 4000BC Melbourne is finally getting some nice temps!
That was a crap winter for us!
Not too dissimilar
