I suggest that whilst you are replacing the cable that you also change the plug to either an Anderson plug or at the least a quality Hella style plug & socket & install heavier wires going to the battery (via a suitable fuse) . Cig lighters are not designed to take that sort of current & you risk setting fire to your car because of the wires supplying the cig lighter plug overheating. It would also be wise to ensure that it is wired so that it can only operate with the ignition switched on (ie. motor running) to avoid inadvertantly flattening your battery. Using a relay to achieve this would make sense.
