Hello - New Memembr Bathurst NSW

Greetings. Just signed up. Currently in Dubai but returning to Bathurst later this year. We (myself wife, 8 year old and small dog) have decided to take a career break and take to the road, Nomad style. Something we've always wanted to do and now seems like a good time. We want a van and 4x4 combo and are 90% set on a Patrol TI. Looking at a van of around 2.5 Ton. So looking for advice and info on everything from are we looking at the right tow vehicle to best tow bar, brake controller, need for suspension upgrades, essential equipment / tools etc. Never toured with van before.
Looking forward to the purchase process and the road trip. Perhaps well meet a few of you on the way. oh I'm a Pom originally please don't hold that against me.
