Mate, I have been wanting and planning this for ages. I have even drawn up a 3D digital model of the whole thing using SketchUp 7. If only I could find the time to get the job done! Here is a jpg. image of the model.

looks good Shayne, only change i would make is to put a top in it to stop stuff bouncing out. Which it did on my 1st attempt
neat job mate, no passenger airbag in that model then?
Nice one mate, hadn't thought of that! Lol Will have to do that. I was planning on fitting a light in it anyway so that will give me a location to mount it. I'm also going to wire up a lighter plug in the dish section to power stuff like laptop, charge phone and batteries, etc. Should make life much easier and the cabin cleaner!

You need to take the main glovebox out & then reach up with a short phillips head screwdriver to remove 8 screws. 4 at the top of the panel & 4 at the bottom, then saw out the backing & start building. If you need pointers try out this site grungles.com.au It is a personal site of a mate showing all his mods in detail.
Thankyou Kelvin, as soon as I get back from NZ, I'll give it a bash, I wondered what held it all in place, cheers.
