Fantastic. I'll be in touch.

Removed the alternator. I had to remove it with the mounting bracket that bolts to the engine block as the A/C pipe is about 5mm behind the lower mounting bolt so I couldn't remove said bolt. Lucky the bracket wasn't too hard to remove...

Installed a 'quick t verter' device to the charge circuit of the main alternator. Its a rectifier pack that splits the load across 18 diodes instead of the standard 6, hence allows for the rectifier diodes to individually run cooler and increases charge efficiency. What I have found since installing it is that the main battery voltage does not drop when on high beam, all driving lights on. Before installing it the voltage would gradually fall and the alternator could not keep up - is a small mitsubishi pajero 100amp unit installed by Brunswick Diesel as part of the Chev conversion. There is a bit of minor work to do to the alternator, but looks good. here is the link to the device. I and @MB have purchased the 420amp units. They don't boost the output, just decrease the load over more diodes. Both our Chevs run hot and alternator death has become the norm of late - hoping this fixes it.

A successful day.
Installed the redarc gauge
Took it to the car wash to leave the mud behind.
Rotated the tyres well overdue, but it's now done.
Loaded up the trailer with all the bigger things that can stay in there for a few days in preparation for a Thursday night departure.
Fixed the Uhf issues, I hope.
And gave it a well deserved bath (between the showers) and vacuum.
Scrubs up alright. She'll be 21 towards the end of this year.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...018/03/230.jpg

Just ripped out the cruise control vacuum/motor and the pull-cable all the way to the pump.
Gained ample room for the Catch can. Perfect spot.
