Took off the 2 steel plates under the winch. They were showing signs of a bit of rust and the Nissan paint was lifting.
Cut the paint and rust back to shiny steel, painted then with Septone rust converter them sprayed the with rust shield.
Bolted the z looking plate to the main one and sprayed the bolts with the rsut shield.
Now all back in place.
Next some of the front wheel arches. Getting the plastic panel bits of looks like a nuisance.
Also loaded new steel cable back onto the 9500lb winch. Had to replace the old cable before the new winch goes on.
Put on a 44.7kN, (4.6t), min breaking force cable from Nobel's rope.
Received and fitted. Thx John.
Not today but mounted to compressor in the engine bay, but tight for space.

Installed a TowPro trailer brake and a Breaksafe 6000 monitor, along with wiring up the 12 pin plug and Anderson plug down the back.
gave the patrol a good wash now Im going to Clay bar it and then polish , yeah right lol
EDIT you can shove the clay bar thing how labour intensive is that
brought some Armourall polish and must admit it has come up awesome.
I'll do the rest tomorrow some time
