Deflate the spare tyre to 8 or 10psi and you will be able to bolt it up to the door without trouble. You carry a compressor anyway so it is no big deal ;)
hate to say it..... i went through all that and un the end i didnt need to do anything. derrrrrrrrr
i still got heaps of room.
