Cylinder head crack repair methods - interesting stuff!

I reckon this is something we can do at home with the right tools.

Good stuff, isn't it? If we got the correct tools, it's something we can DIY in the backyard.

I saw the cracks it the Cylinder's head of the RD28 engine. They are tinny and placed between intake and exhaust valves or between preignition chamber and vales.
I think this method will not help here.

Some cracks may not worth the trouble.
Any crack may worth the trouble depending on how rare the cylinder head or the block is.
When it can be replaced cheaper than repairs nobody bothers to repair.
Not to mention the tendency to re-crack from the same spot.
Cracks between intake and exhaust valves are common I think.
They are fixable by TIG welding from what I know.
I think diesel cylinder head repair is a debatable subject.
I'm thinking 'cos the tendency to re-crack from the repaired spot, a good number of diesel cylinder
heads don't get the cracks repaired, but get replaced instead.
