Hi all. I’m new to forums. I’m going to be doing up the above mentioned patrol for my son for his first car. Handed down from my parents it’s in pretty good shape. I’m sure I’m going to need some help along the way so there might be a few questions if I can’t find them on an existing thread
I’ve started on the front wheel bearings and swivel hub. Torn one side down and have ordered complete rebuild kit with all bearings and seals. So when they come in that will be step one
After that I will be tackling the gearbox. It’s a little difficult putting into gear and when I drained the gearbox oil I found quick course metal shavings so I’m hoping bearing and not gear damage. So I guess I find out when I get into it
I’ve also been looking for a step by step instructions for the gear box so I know the steps and order for removing gears and so on if any one has picture descriptions of the steps.
