LED bars would be useless in fog IMO
you would need dedicated yellow or 3000K HID
For HWY driving you cant beat HID driving lights
for night driving bush tracks you cant beat the light bars...
HID in Fog/Dust are terrible, there is so much light reflected back you may as well hang a sheet across the windscreen.
In my GQ's I found the following gave the best results;
Quality semi-sealed...
Someone who knows how to 4WD and can start you off with good basic techniques.
Techniques like gear selection, picking lines, throttle modulation, crawling, safe recovery techniques and especially...
tyre gauge, compressor and a shovel, maybe an air jack but not familiar with that area
Half decent tyres, ie good all terrain or if $'s allow good muds.
Compressor and a good tyre gauge. Recovery points (proper ones) and a recovery reciever hitch on the back of your car
G'day mate welcome aboard
Welcome mate.
Great first car. If looked after well will see many more reliable kilometres.
Stick around though as this place has a lot more info than any manual can give.
Welcome to the forum mate, feel free to ask any questions.
Welcome to the forum, I'm with ET get him to join a club and learn to use the search function at the top right for any questions, if he cannot find the answer ask and he will receive.
Great car, he will have great fun with it! Enjoy.
First car and a 4WD... I would definitely advise him to join a club or at the very, very least do a 4WD course.
After that, let the good times roll
G'day mate welcome to the forum the td in it's natural form will go for ever if looked after.
