If your talking about the intake manifold on a TD42 then the main reason people change/modify them is to get more even air flow across the 6...

For the cost of 'double hi flowing' the HT18 you could but a decent Garret or MHI turbo that will work better. The factory turbos are crap when used for anything other than a factory tune.

Hi mate, shimming a diff is adding shim washers to the LSD to make it tighter after it has loosened with wear and become inaffective, should really be done by a Pro.
