The v8 will have amazing torque (my street car is a v8), and reasonable economy if your not driving it like a race car. Plus plenty of power for "over taking". Down side being rego is $1050/year in...

$9000 for the LS1 is pretty good. Especially if it's new or rebuilt.
You won't need to stress when overtaking either. :)

I took the family around Australia for 9 months in 2014 tow vehicle 2000 GU patrol 3.0 and van is Kokoda Battalion triple bunk. Amazing camp sites all the way round. This one is at St Lawrence...

very scenic around Leongatha as well

Depending on when, you are welcome to use our place at Alberton. About 20 min from foster. Not much in the way of 4x4 tracks but the Agnes falls and Hiawatha are nice. Plenty of fishing.
