So far so good. Took it for a 150km round trip today feels better than the old box through all the gears. There is less movement in the shifter and just feels tighter.
So far looked at firewall...
So i ended up getting a 2nd hand 3L crd gearbox from patrol-a-part. Only had 77k kms I believe. All in and installed and I am back on the road.

Didnt see this before my previous response.
Yep thats one of the good pics I mentioned. They have also increased the length of the spline on the main shaft. Massive overall increase in contact...
There is good pics floating around showing the changes. Potentially on the other patrol site. I will endeavour to get some pics if I get my old gearbox back from the mechanic.
The problem boxes I...

Ouch that sucks Mudski, shit like that makes me angry.
bazzaboy Mounting it under the bonnet with the heat there as you stated isnt ideal, but better then in the sun under the panel (solar is usually utilised when engine isnt producing heat). Mine...

The best location for this...

If you already have a redarc isolator installed why bother changing it? An expensive change for no gain really. Dcdc are good for long cable runs were voltage drop may be an issue. Eg in a camper...
I bought a supercheap air compressor. Simply as a donor for the 8L airtank and pressure switch for an on board air setup. Pulled the motor off and looks like a great fit under the cab next to chassis...
I also finally ordered this week some gas bonnet struts off eBay. I should have done that 5 years ago as it would have saved a few head knocks, a lot of pain in the arse stuffing around and an iPad...
Yesterday I ordered some kevlar sleeves for my firestone coil rite bags. Quoted price from some re-sellers $170+. Direct from airbag man $75. Also got the correct spacers for my lift. Only ordered...
for the sake of a few bucks I would go the VRS kit over the no name china one, simply based on the look / ruggedness of the controller. The Warn one would be the easiest with plug and play connector,...
Finally ordered some coil tower reinforcement - BOSS coil tower brace.
Cheers @MB. I need to get off my arse and install an air tank and endless compressor. Then I can worry about these sort of luxuries. :) looks good though.

This looks damn interesting. If only it would work with 12v input :( does it have 2 preset pressures? An offroad and onroad pressure setting without having to manually go up and down every time?...
