Sorry, thought the vehicle was a GQ, which have the A/C fitted at the dealership, not the factory, or at least that's how mine arrived when I bought it new. In fact, when I went back to Ferntree...
Parts are easy to source. Just depends on how much you want air con in your Patrol. Dpending on whats "stuffed" will determine how easy it is to fix. I would assume the compressor is stuffed, the...
Hey mate I pretty much replaced everything on the engine bay side and cost around 1 - 1.5k i think from memory. IF it needs all that plus stuff on the cab side guess I'd expect up to 2 grand for a...

I have seen on Facebook before, a picture of a dash that a bloke had done exactly that. He made it from fibreglass and it looked like it came from the Nissan factory.

Seen a few guys mount on on top of the center of the dash, you could get one looking pretty good by cutting the bottom of a spare dash center and sticking it on top of the current dashboard
All depends on how far you want to go with it.
For a quick neat solution I would just simply clean it as best as possible, wipe it down with some red scotchy that is wet with Prepsol (wax and...

Use a garrett 3576 or 3582 or non garrett equivalent.
You could buy secondhand of an xr6 turbo, but you take a risk doing that
The biggest risk for a conversion is the shit quality workmanship...

Not a lot of tb42 GQ owners floating around here unfortunately mate, hopefully someone can help out.
Mmm, it depends on your level of commitment. To me a GQ is worth the effort and time. But that is up to you. Lifting the entire shell is a huge commitment to the task. From the pics you posted it...

I found that gasless MIGs are very hard to get the wire feed speed and amperage settings to be consistently correct. I ended up selling the MIG and buying a TIG which is a great tool for welding thin...

Welcome. Sorry about your loss I'm sure that you'll get the old girl sorted out. From what I've heard they're as tough as they come.
Yes, personally I would gut it completely. Remove anything that can and will burn. Carpet, wiring etc. Make sure you don't have any fuel or brake lines directly near it.
If it is gutted completely...
Welcome. Absolutely be replacing the floor pan. No biggy if you can weld or have a mate that can. In my opinion, and GQ is worth fixing up. Good bus, you cant go wrong with it.
