Flicken that darn plastic header tanked radiator will be a leap forward
The rad in my GQ was the original one since new,1997 , and i had it rodded , then cracked a non replacable plastic tank
I...
Copper/Brass & have a radiator shop make it Triple Flow (that is baffles in tanks to cause flow to go across & back & across again ) much more efficient.
Steve.
with an aluminium radiator you need to watch out for electrical leakage as it will set up electrolisisand the unit wont last very long
+1 Copper/brass is definately the way to go, a 2 or 3 row should be fine. If you want it to last and be serviceable for longer, definately steer clear of the alloy ones. My 2c.
Edit- In saying...
Copper brass should be the best at doing the intended job.
Brass for main body rust resistant.
Copper fins to absorb heat away from brass and disperse the heat away.
Alloy fins don't corrode away...
I have leather recaros, I just bolted them to the original seat frame using original bolts no need for engineering
One thing i have been considering myself .
I have seen holden seats fitted but you wouldn't want them they use really poor quality material that wears out quick enough in a holden.
Although some of...
I purchased a 100 ohm wire wound pot from http://www.wiltronics.com.au/index.php for under $10 and use it to test my gauges to the figures in the manual.
I found my temperature gauge was sticking...
Got hold of some 2nd hand Recaros for a song, then paid too much for the base that is vehicle specific.
They did bolt straight in with no fiddling to make them fit, and it could be engineered with...
I just had a play around with mine and found the fan on backwards it might be worth checking.
Also the silicon oil in the clutch fan can go bad causing the fan to be restrictive at high speed as...
Mine used to do that mate - the gauges aren't overly spot on, but accurate enough that when it climbs like that it raises the alarm bells. Any "obstacles" in front of the radiator? Spotties, air con...
Don't know of any aftermarket straight swaps mate - as no one does aftermarket bolt on rails with their seats (which makes sense I guess so they can be fitted to multitudes of different cars).

try the irrigation ditches at murray bridge on the left hand side before you go over bridge
Hey buddy, last feed of yab's I got was the back of lake Bonney at Barmera. Didn't bag out but still a nice snack. Should be some good spots around Blanchtown or here's a good one, not too sure but...

Have you checked the thermostate mate?
Mate.
flush the system.
then flush in reverse, this helps to remove gunk.
The gunk has been layed down in normal flow direction and has edges like say a roll of elec tape, and reversing flow aids...
Take the head of last resort
Running hot as everyone has said can be many things
People still to this day beleive that removal of the thermostat makes them run cooler, it doesnt
So that could be...
This is a problem I've seen only once on a little BMW, but the impeller had come off inside the water pump, not saying this is your problem but any-things possible.
If there is no coolant loss I would start with the odvious as has been mentioned above . But I would also check the belt tension as well, plus the water pump for flow rate. There is also one other...
If you are not losing coolant and theres no sign of oil or bubbles in the coolant leave the head in place until you have checked the other options.
Radiator cap
Clutch fan
and as Tony just...
If there was a problem with the head or head gasket that was causing excessive pressure in the cooling system you would have major coolant loss.
Before you spend any money on unnecessary repairs get...
i would probably say either get it repaired or a new one because if you buy a second hand one you may be buying someone elses problems with no guarntees that its gunna be a good head have you had it...
