Rd136 for front rd135 for real
That is an interesting idea! Will ask a few questions about that.

When we did the Madigan Line we were a long way from any where or anything! f you did not have the means to fix, repair, or replace you abandoned.

I'm not a fan of body lifts, I'd rather get the chassis up higher.
To do a 4" lift you will also need brake bias valve spacer and extended/adjustable drag link. Rear lower control arms will hang...
Looking great mate, gotta love a white 4.2 GU and to do all that yourself, brilliant!!
G'day florix,
Good onya mate, top effort, the 4.2 turbo diesel is a fantastic engine.
PS, i am only down the road at Woolgoolga (Woopi)

Looking good mate. Gotta feel good having done it all yourself.
It gets better, those motors are so much nicer once you let them breath a little better. Bring on the mods :)
IMO nothing beats the TD4.2
You should be able to keep the mechanical if you purchase a new Ti fan assembly. I have a radiator that thick in mine so it certainly fits.
Yeah stick with the mechanical fan mate. You can go to twin thermos I space is restricted but I would recommend an alternator upgrade if you go in that direction.
As for the small vacuum switch...
those are an egr kinda thing mainly to get the vehicles passed the EPA laws and such you can disconnect them and not have a drama
Diesel central pack their items incredibly well mate (have seen it first hand). They ship all over the country and I'm yet to hear/read a bad thing about them.
Florix,
Anything can be done at a price, whether it be lots of money or hours and hours of time..... it will be a fairly large job, as the metalwork behind is quite a bit different.
Just use...
You need to use the 4.2 box as the 2.8 is too light duty for the extra torque of the 4.2.
2.8 box is based off a Nissan passenger car

You can use the 4.2 gbox with the 2.8 transfer.
No they don't make them. It's more so the 2.8 box won't be as reliable behind a 4.2 as a 4.2's box. The difference is quite substantial
