Diesel engines being a 'compression detonation' motor, I would say you have caused damage resulting in the loss of compression. I'm sure a bent rod could reduce its stroke resulting in low comp....

It now runs at 76 degrees when cruising on an average temp day, when on the highway at 100 it floats between 78-86 depending on weather. I have taken it into the vic high country since and on a 44...

Cheers mate, all good, it was only temporary until I replaced my oil pressure sender unit. All has been done and EGR is back in its usual place and fully inoperable [emoji23]

That was an option, and I did proceed doing so but my drill bit decided to bite and I took a small chunk out of the mating surface which the radiator cap seals against..... game over!! Haha

It most definitely does, As the sole bread winner in a family of 4 there is no way I would have afforded it if I went down the mechanic road. It would have ended up as another dead “grenade”.

yeah i was looking at those on eBay, mine already has the factory diff breathers that run up into the passenger side guard, well the front diff, gearbox and transfer case. I haven't followed the rear...
