Sad day, just watched all my hard work in this Patrol drive away :( although I am confident the guy who bought it will appreciate it and use it for what it was built for.
I used an air hacksaw for mine, worked a treat .... Twice.
Seriously, who'd get that wrong :1087: :1087: Maybe I should have read that thread...
It's a patrol thing mate, from what I've read there's bugger all that can be done.
People have said they can fix it with new "things" in the gearbox, but have then commented that the noise returns...
:( :( :( hahaha

Na mate, swapped a heap of gear over and sold the GU7. You'd be surprised how much GU7 gear my GU4 TD has in it ;-)
I sold the CRD shortly after picking up the 42, so this is the only Patrol I have atm. Although it is my 4th Patrol
GU 1 - 4500 petrol
GQ - 4200 petrol
GU 7 - CRD
GU4 - TD42
In saying that...
I've never met your mate, but I like him already, he knows quality when he sees it :icon_driving:
That's the main thing, then.
I used auto Sikalfex, I think it's Sika 225 or 227 or something like that anyway.
Yeah it's a pretty ordinary piece of design work ay! I'm surprised they can breath at all standard..
I've done 2 of them now and got to admit I'm not in a big hurry to do anymore either.
LC200 Sahara
I'll be sad to see it go that's for sure, but in saying that not a bad replacement coming.

I'll get it on car sales later probably.
Put it on the market :-(
Need to take 8% off these numbers to account for the tyre size. The big number was towing the van.

Took the caravan up to Newcastle yesterday for its first service/inspection (won't be going back ever again but that's another storey for another time..) and had to fill in the day, so off to...
Cheers mate. 3" what are you talkng about?? The seat in that kart was set at 20mm off the ground at operating tyre pressures with me in it :)
This is the one I have and I haven't broken it yet and that's using 4' of pipe on 3/4 gear undoing suspension bolts etc. so it's had a pretty hard time.

I got a Supercheap ( I think) creeper about 10-12 ago. Has a steel frame with padded foam inserts, works a treat, strong as and cheap as chips.
All polished and waxed now, it's never looked so clean.
Washed and clay bared it, will polish it after lunch.
