Finally managed to get away for a couple of days out into The Pilliga Scrub, NSW. Country is looking amazing after all the recent rain. Never see this much water in the creeks especially in December....

Walking out the back door this morning & seeing my Patrol in the back yard after 5 weeks in the workshop.
Quick update.
After starting & running fine for 3 weeks after the initial fail to start, the patrol refused to fire the first time I turned it off somewhere remote. This happened 2 days before...
The money he charged you would think he was towing 2 vehicles.[emoji52]

Just watched a teardown video on one of these Injector Pumps. The 0701 fault code refers to the Camshaft Position Sensor which is inside the pump. I thought the code referred to the camshaft in the...
Must have started the Patrol a dozen times or more yesterday. Started straight away every time with no codes coming up.
In some of the research I have done the pump has been replaced but it has...
Had an issue with my 2005 3.0 DI Wagon yesterday.
Short 45km drive then parked for 1/2 an hour, went to start the vehicle, cranked over but would not fire. Checked all fuses, all good. Pumped the...

My RTT has been up there for 10 years & over 200,000 km`s with no problems. Don`t even remember it`s there most of the time when driving. Only downside is it won`t fit through the Macca`s drive...
Only problem I have had with mine in 10 years & 200,000 km`s is the Belt Tensioner. Might pay to carry a spare.
Been using a Century N70T Deep Cycle Flooded (100 ah) for years without any problems.
An old grave out in the middle of nowhere, no name or inscription. No other graves nearby.

Had the Nitto`s fitted on Friday. Pretty happy with them so far, only done a couple of hundred km`s on them. Road noise is not too bad, will be interesting to see how it is after some k`s on them....
Thanks for all the feedback & suggestions.
Had a chat to the manager at the tyre shop yesterday & have decided to go with the Nitto Trail Grapplers & have booked the Troll in for today.
5 new...
Thanks for the suggestion PB.
Had a look at the MT71`s & the MT51`s. The 51`s look like a hybrid, not quite as aggressive as the 71`s but more than the AT`s. Could be a good compromise & the price...
Thanks for your input Winnie & @MB. Nitto's seem to be the go it seems.

That would have been Season 2. Interesting that 2 of the last 3 left were women after 70 days in the wilds of Patagonia, I`d be lucky to last 7 days!
The one on at the moment is a repeat of Season...
Interesting read in Practical Motoring
"Nissan says work is underway on a new Patrol and that it could be styled as a retro throwback, much like the popular new Ford Bronco."

Bought this beast a month ago. Suzuki C109RT Boulevard. 109 CI or 1800 cc. Unregistered when I got it, needed new tyres & a tidy up. Finally got it on the road a week ago.
Fitted with a Gman EFI...
Don`t have to go too far from home to find a bit of snow over winter. This pic just 40 km from home.
