Hi,

Im just wondering if anyone has put manual valve bodies in there auto gearbox (to make it shift like a clutch less manual) how hard/ expensive is this? as I'm having some issues hooking up my trans to shift properly since its been mated up to an ls1. Have many people ran this off road and how effective is it? i have just had my trans rebuild but how hard is it on the gearbox? of course depending on how you drive it changes everything but do they seem to wear faster? any help or experiences with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks jordan

Hi mate, I have fitted a valvebody from wholesale automatics. Its the heavy duty "nomad" valvebody for the tb42 and they claim to make the box capable of taking 3 times the standard engine power. It is designed to operate as an auto still but with better shift points and fast, clean changes. The box can be shifted manually if you want. The nomad valvebody prolongs the life of the gearbox.
Wholesale automatics are a great company to deal with as I'm sure many people on this forum will agree.

Cool thanks for the info, how much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

An exchange valvebody will cost about $1000 plus postage. Jump on their website for a bit more info.
