I got a quick tip for anyone interested. Change your brake fluid every year if you live any further north of Brisbane or where the humidity is constanly high. Brake fluid absorbs water(hydroscopic). Water is corrosive to brake parts. Not only will the brakes suffer stopping power when subjected to high speed braking but the calipers may fail when you do a disc pad change as mine did. The car was second hand when I bought it with no history of servicing and obviously did not have the brake fluid changed for some time. When it comes time to replace the pads the cylinders must be retracted to fit the new pads in. Heavy corrosion in the piston bore will rip the seals as the piston is retracted and will start to leak brake fluid past the seals & protective boot. They will cost about $100 ea to get kits put through them providing that the bore hones up OK to accept new seals.
Cheers
