oil pressure

hi all
i have a 1990 gq lwb, it has done 350000ks it seems to have low oil pressure even after i have given it new oil and filters.
is there any known problems with oil pumps or is it just old age.

How low is "low oil pressure"? What is your gauge reading? Does your oil pressure light come on?

no the light doesnt come on, on the highway the guage sits under half way, and sitting at the traffic lights the guage reads just about zero

I'd be putting a master gauge on it to check the actual pressure, don't trust the factory gauge.
I have heard of several sender units that have failed.

my sender unit failed
very common thing and now i think my gauge is faulty aswell
