I remember reading somewhere that there are legalities surrounding scoop heights on vehicles. Might want to check up on that one. What might be legal for a Subaru or a Muscle Car may not be legal for a Patrol.

Here's another option for you.. and better yet, it's been R & D tested for performance. Not sure how legal though.

ARE Cooling (http://www.are.com.au/Inter/topMountIntercoolers.htm) (scroll down page to the GU Ute with the scoop. There's two types.

Saw that one but have a feeling it may not be legal as timbo has said about heights so I want to keep it looking legal and colour matching it all but would look tough. I like the sti scoop but the mopar one looks great too I can't decide!

Timbo I have seen the ARE scoops and was looking at getting one but they are not ard compliant either so if illegal may as well go taller and wider

cross country 1300 just for cooler but bigger than ARE
ARE 1300 for cooler and bonnetscoop package but smallest cooler
ASE as big as cross country 900 delivered and 200 for wrx scoop 1100 all up cheapest and biggest option and a little different unless you have heard they are poor quality?

What would be great is to find a central work shop
and hold a few w/end meetups so that ppl with like interests
can get together and do these mods, theres a lot of talented
fellows out there that might help out the not so talented
amongst us in this field of the chop
