egt guage

Bought this guage and wirings a little vague as pic says connect red to ignition + and black to negative but as the other pic shows there are 2 x red and 2 x black one set comming from the guage and another that plugs into the back of the guage do i connectboth redsto ignition positve and both blacks to negative

Hi mate, the red and black to ignition need to go to + and - of the battery to power the gauge.

The other red and black are only needed to illuminate the back light of the gauge and you can tap that into anything on your dash that comes on when you turn your lights on.

Do not connect them to the battery otherwise the backlight will be on 24/7 and drain your battery.

You can connect to things such as dash lights, ciggy lighter "light globe", ash tray light, clock, etc.

Great thanks thought wires from gauge were just for lights guage stays dark untill car starts then lights up automaticly so wasnt sure will tale a look at the link too
